“My work explores movement, balance and presence through reduced, organic form. Working primarily in steel, recycled metals and bronze, I build sculptures that sit between the figurative and the abstract, where the essence of an animal or human gesture is suggested rather than fully described.
My process is instinctive and hands-on. I cut, shape and weld metal by eye, gradually refining the structure until the form feels alive. Rather than chasing literal detail, I pare the sculpture back to the essential lines and tensions that hold the character of the subject. This reduction allows the viewer to complete the image in their own mind.
Many of the materials I use - such as recycled car panels, or stainless steel, carry their own history and weight. When shaped into equine forms, they create a subtle dialogue between past and present, where horsepower becomes horsepower once again.
Placed in landscape or architectural space, the sculptures aim to hold a quiet energy: movement captured in stillness.”
